typical day around here :)

I have 4 children, 3 of which are homeschooled.  I am very blessed that my husband is home most mornings to occupy my 2-year-old.  My fifth grade son is an early riser.  He wakes up, grooms, gets dresses, eats breakfast, and does a few morning chores before my girls even roll over!  He and I get a good hour of working together on the subjects I felt he needs me most (Language and Reading) before anyone else enters the schoolroom.  He then heads off to do Math and Bible before he takes his break while I start with my kindergartener.  She and I work together for an hour and then she has center time (puzzles, play dough, blocks, computer, etc…..)  My second grader comes in midway through and starts her Bible, Reading, and Spelling  on her own.  She and I come together for Langauge and then she takes a break.  My son is back from his break and finishing the rest of his work independently.  My goal is to do an hour with each student (choosing the subject they need me the most for).  I do set a time limit but the order is more important to me than the time.  I have their schedules spaced out to prevent overlapping and them all needing mom at the same time.
